Holly Sprouse, Director of Business Development and Community Outreach at Into Action Recovery, brings eight years of expertise in substance abuse treatment to her role, with a career spanning Recovery Advocacy, Sober Coaching, Admissions Coordination, and now leadership in admissions. With more than nine years in recovery herself, Holly’s personal journey through addiction’s darkest moments fuels her deep empathy and passion for guiding others toward healing. Her lived experience, combined with her knack for admissions operations, insurance verification, and sharing her story, allows her to connect authentically with individuals and families, offering hope and support when they need it most. Working alongside a dedicated team, she ensures every person reaching out, regardless of diagnosis or financial situation, finds a path to recovery through strong community partnerships and compassionate care.
Driven by a belief that everyone deserves dignity and a chance to heal, Holly is committed to making sure no one feels unseen or dismissed, a resolve born from her own struggles with rejection when seeking help years ago. Beyond her professional life, she cherishes time with her children, family, and two dogs, and leads a weekly recovery group at her church. For Holly, the greatest reward is working in an environment where she can be herself, united with others in the fight against addiction, planting seeds of hope that bloom into transformed lives.
Background and Experience
With over six years of experience in the field of substance abuse, I have had the privilege of serving in various roles, including Recovery Advocate, Sober Coach/Peer Support, Admissions Coordinator, and Director of Admissions. My journey began as a direct care staff member, which provided me with invaluable insight into the treatment process. As someone in recovery for over 8 years, my personal lived experience has fostered deep empathy and compassion, allowing me to connect with both individuals struggling with addiction and their families. I am passionate about guiding others on their path to recovery and offering the support they need to transform their lives.
My battle with addiction took me to the darkest depths of my life. Yet, my journey toward a fulfilling and meaningful existence inspires me every day to help others facing similar struggles. I truly believe that if I can overcome it, anyone can.
I specialize in admissions department operations and processes, insurance verification, and the art of using my own story to give others hope. My personal story is my greatest asset.
Role at Into Action Recovery
I work alongside an amazing and gifted team to assist fellow addicts and alcoholics, as well as their families, to find hope in their darkest hour.
I maintain strong connections with community professionals, including experts in substance abuse and mental health, to collaboratively secure placements for every individual who reaches out, regardless of diagnosis or economic status.
Challenges and Rewards
In admissions, we often come in contact with people who are not quite ready to come to treatment, but I never underestimate the value of planting a seed of hope. I offer empathy and compassion to clients and their families until they are ready to take the leap.
The most fulfilling aspect of my job is being part of an environment where I can truly be myself, while working alongside individuals who are united by a shared commitment to combating the disease of addiction.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
In my time off, I spend time with my children, family, and my two dogs. I also started a recovery group at my church that meets weekly.
Personal Values and Motivation
I am deeply committed to the belief that every individual is deserving of dignity, compassion, and the opportunity to heal. No matter how challenging the road may seem, it is never too late to seek help and reclaim your life from addiction. The path to recovery has been walked by many before, and we are here to guide and support you every step of the way.
My passion for this work stems from personal experience. When I sought treatment, I called a center every day, only to be met with repeated rejection. Eventually, I was told, “Don’t call us, we’ll call you.” That moment left me feeling unseen and hopeless – something no one should ever experience when reaching out for help.
As the Director of Admissions, I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual who seeks support is met with compassion, respect, and unwavering encouragement. No one should feel like just another number. Every person has value, and every journey to recovery matters. My mission is to create a welcoming space where hope is restored and the belief in a better future is reaffirmed.
You are not alone, and we are here to help.
