Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for clients with substance use disorder who are ready to take the next step in their recovery. PHP clients have ideally already completed a residential recovery program and would benefit from a less structured therapeutic environment.
What is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?
PHP provides a gradual approach to outpatient treatment, ensuring a full continuum of care and structure as individuals continue their recovery. We work closely with our PHP clients to customize their treatment plans to meet long-term goals and achieve lifelong sobriety.
What happens in a PHP program?
Individuals benefit from education, counseling, skills building, and peer support during our PHP level of care. We also encourage family members to be involved in their loved one’s recovery through ongoing family therapy.

What does PHP help with?
Our recovery centers treat substance and alcohol addiction, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
How long do people stay in PHP?
Often, clients attend a treatment facility for 4 to 6 weeks, but this depends on their particular recovery needs in a PHP program.
What is the difference between IOP and PHP?
PHP is considered an outpatient treatment program that provides clients with structured daily treatments, after which the client can return home in the evening. This level of treatment is considered the step between residential treatment and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a more flexible rehabilitation program that offers classes and treatments throughout the day.
