Our IOP (ASAM Level 2.1) is designed to meet individuals where they are, offering client-centered treatment that respects the dignity and diversity of each person. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our IOP is designed for flexibility, offering morning and evening tracks to accommodate work, school, or family commitments for group, individual, and family counseling.
Group Counseling
Group therapy is at the heart of our program. Through small, supportive groups, clients form lasting bonds, many of which continue through alumni events, peer support groups, and ongoing check-ins. Our community-focused approach creates a foundation for lifelong recovery.
Each cohort meets three times per week for 3 hours and 15 minutes per session, totaling 9 hours and 45 minutes of structured group treatment weekly.

Individual Counseling
Our IOP integrates evidence-based therapies tailored to each client’s needs:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Relapse Prevention
- Trauma-Informed Mindfulness
Treatment plans are individualized based on comprehensive clinical assessments and adjusted regularly to reflect client progress.






Family Counseling and Collaborative Care
With client consent, we engage family members, outpatient therapists, sponsors, case managers, and probation officers to create comprehensive, collaborative treatment plans that support lasting recovery.
Who We Serve
Our program is most beneficial for those stepping down from a higher level of care (such as residential or PHP) or an individual who requires more support than weekly outpatient therapy but can manage recovery in a non-residential setting. Clinical assessments, ASAM criteria, and team consultations guide our admission and referral decisions.
Our Expert Team
Our multidisciplinary team meets or exceeds Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) standards and includes:
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs)
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSACs) and Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP-As)
- Board-Certified Psychiatric Providers for medication management
- Peer Recovery Specialists offering lived-experience support
Our clinicians are trained in trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, and culturally responsive treatment, ensuring personalized and effective care.
