Zacrey Sanders serves as Executive Vice President at Into Action Recovery, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to his leadership. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington with a focus in Management and has worked across multiple industries, giving him a well-rounded operational perspective. Zacrey began his career in recovery as a Recovery Advocate shortly after starting his own journey in sobriety. His passion and dedication led him to advance through roles as Lead Recovery Advocate and Operations Manager before being promoted to Executive Vice President in 2024. His work is deeply rooted in a desire to give back to the facility that helped save his life and to support others through the same kind of understanding and connection that once helped him.
In his role, Zacrey oversees operations across six facilities, manages sober living programs, and works closely with both staff and clients—especially during challenging moments when individuals may struggle to stay engaged in treatment. His areas of expertise include management, operations, intervention techniques, and event planning, with a strong belief that recovery should feel supportive, engaging, and even enjoyable. Zacrey emphasizes connection as a cornerstone of healing, often involving clients in activities like gardening, alumni socials, and facility events to foster a sense of belonging. He finds the greatest reward in witnessing clients succeed and return as alumni to share their stories of long-term sobriety. Outside of work, Zacrey enjoys home design and gardening, though he is most often found at the center building meaningful relationships and walking alongside others on their recovery journey.
