In the past, many people attributed addiction afflictions to a lifestyle problem—a choice. Even though it has long since been proven otherwise, it’s often difficult to change people’s minds. A word of wisdom no one in their right mind would choose to be an addict—no more than they would choose to have diabetes or heart problems or cancer.
According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, addiction is defined as a disease by the American Medical Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
We recognize that and treat accordingly; in fact, we have long been pro-active in treating all forms of addiction with careful medical attention.

Dr. Saeed joined the team at Into Action Recovery Centers because his philosophy meshed well with the thinking of the founders and staff. He is passionate about helping people with their mission of recovering from addiction, and Into Action Recovery Centers offers the ideal situation for him to do that.
When asked about his goals for Into Action Recovery, Dr. Saeed responded.

Dr. Saeed received his training in General Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. He furthered his training during his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, also at UTMB, where he was recognized for his excellent clinical skills and leadership qualities. That recognition led to him being selected as the Medical Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UTMB. He subsequently held positions as the Chairman of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mainland Medical Center Hospital in Texas City and as the Medical Director of Deveraux Hospital in League City. In order to further his goals, Dr. Saeed is excited to join the Into Action team in providing optimal treatment—and compassion—to those suffering from addiction.
