Shane Leonard co-founded Into Action Recovery Centers in 2010 with a sincere desire to assist others in recovering from addiction. His goals for IARC are to provide a local resource for quality treatment at an affordable cost in an environment that is most conducive to positive outcomes. Twenty years of professional experience in mid-market industrial service companies, accompanied with his personal experience in recovery, perfectly positioned him to provide leadership for the team that has been assembled at IARC. Having now been sober himself for many years, Shane values recovery as a life style, community involvement, and time with his family.



Tony Giammatteo, co-founder of Into Action Recovery Centers, has a shared passion to provide affordable, quality recovery to individuals suffering from issues pertaining to chemical dependency. He ensures the daily operations of IARC are managed at the highest level of quality client care and in compliance with standards established by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Tony provides leadership and direction to the clinical team at IARC, ensuring a safe and contributory workplace conducive to providing clients with comprehensive, effective treatment in the most helpful and productive of settings. Tony’s interest in health and recovery, along with his desire to establish a top tier treatment environment, drives his daily efforts to see this dream become a reality.

PRISCILLA LEONARD Director of Administrative Services

Priscilla Leonard has been with Into Action Recovery Center since its inception. With exceptional administrative skills, she enjoys the challenges, rewards, and learning opportunities of the day-to-day needs of IARC. Priscilla keeps the office staff up to speed and clients informed. Her previous administrative and management experience have strengthened her belief that employees and staff are any company’s most important asset, and she feels this is especially true at IARC. Priscilla finds gratification, professionally and personally, with the sense of team and family that IARC has towards employees and clients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.



Roland Hays, CFO of Into Action Recovery Centers, since its founding, has been responsible for corporate financial planning, management, and analysis for the company. Roland has been in the accounting industry since attending the University of Missouri in the early sixties. He possesses a plethora of business experience and facilitates the required daily financial and administrative functions pertaining to accounting and financial reporting. Roland, along with his wife of 58 years, Patty, have traveled the world together, share a strong Christian faith, enjoy reading, and love their many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


PAUL DYNE Admissions Coordinator

Paul Dyne began his tenure with IARC as a Recovery Advocate (RA) in the former residential center very early in IARC existence and has been a valued team member for over 5+ years. He has served in several positions within the organization including Director of Admissions and is currently the Vice President of Operations. Paul’s background is in Biology and Computer Science and he has previously worked in the SEO/SEM industry. He uses his own experience in recovery, his understanding of the treatment process and recovery from addiction, and history as a direct care staff member to coordinate the admission process for those who seek treatment and their families. Beyond his work at IARC, Paul is also very respected in the Clear Lake recovery community, in which he remains extremely active.

JON HANSEN VP / Revenue Cycle Management

Jon Hansen earned bachelor’s degrees with Honors from the University of Houston in Finance and Marketing in 2006. He has previously worked in the financial industry as an analyst for a mortgage securities broker-dealer and privately in the financial securities industry to help develop software for trading and financial analysis. Later he was recruited to develop and implement processes and procedures for one of the largest metal recyclers in the state of Texas including accounting, inventory tracking, and financial performance metrics, and helped manage all aspects of operational accounting banking, and administrative functions, reporting directly to the CEO. Jon joined Into Action Recovery Centers to aid in the growth initiatives and expansion plans of the management team by managing the renovations of the new residential treatment center that is now complete. He is now working with the accounting and administration departments to optimize the recurrent information flow, periodic reporting, and revenue cycle management. Jon enjoys a variety of extracurricular activities but mostly spending time with his wife and daughter.


MOHAMMED SAEED, M.D. Medical Director

We are pleased to have Dr. Mohammed Saeed, M.D. join our staff as the Medical Director. Dr. Saeed received training in General Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. He furthered his training during his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, also at UTMB. Recognized for his excellent clinical skills and leadership qualities, he was selected as the Medical Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UTMB. He subsequently went on to hold positions as the Chairman of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mainland Medical Center Hospital in Texas City and the Medical Director of Deveraux Hospital in League City. Dr. Saeed is excited to join the Into Action team in providing optimal treatment and compassion to those suffering from addiction.



Patrick Winters is a native of Dublin, Ireland and has been working in the field of addiction and mental health for over ten years. Patrick obtained his undergraduate degree in psychology and physical education in 2008, and went on to complete his Masters degree in professional counseling from William Carey University in 2010. Patrick is currently licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (LPC­I). Patrick brings a depth of personal experience and professional expertise to our clinical staff. Patrick has completed focused coursework on the physiological and psychological aspects of addiction and specializes in treating addiction and co­occurring disorders. Therapeutically, Patrick employs an evidence based eclectic approach, which allows him to identify the most applicable techniques and appropriate interventions for each individual client. Patrick’s ability to create a therapeutic alliance with his clients creates a warm and safe environment which, allows each individual to successfully navigate their way to recovery from the disease of addiction. Patrick continues to dedicate himself to studying current trends and research in the field of addiction. Patrick is currently working towards his Master Addiction Counselor credential through the National Board of Certified Counselors, he currently holds memberships in several professional associations such as the NAADAC ­ The Association of Addiction Professionals, and the TAAP ­ Texas Association of Addiction Professionals.



Mr. Piper brings to the treatment team an eclectic counseling style developed over a 20 year clinical and a 25 year practical approach to recovery. This cognitive person centered approach was developed from the idea that the clients are Spiritual Beings having a Human Experience. To enhance their recovery the idea of teaching, learning, and experiencing love, tolerance, and forgiveness is one of the foundations to making positive changes in their life. This is combined with Motivational Enchantment to allow the client to move into the action stage of change and helps bring about major life altering experiences. Mr. Piper relates that he feels like he is being paid to watch miracles happen.
Mr. Piper is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with the State of Texas with advanced training in working with clients with dual disorders and comes to us from his most recent job, a 3 year state contract working at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Hospital where he facilitated veterans’ entry into state funded treatment programs.



Vicki Piper is a new addition to our treatment team and brings with her 18 years of diverse counseling experience working with an Adult Residential Treatment Population. She is knowledgeable in interacting with EAPs and insurance companies. Ms. Piper has 21 years of practical experience in a 12 step program. Ms. Piper is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF) and is trained in Brene Brown’s Daring Way curriculum, which aims to cultivate shame resilience and authenticity. Ms. Piper strongly encourages clients to show up, be seen and live brave in their life arena.
Ms. Piper is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in the State of Texas and has advanced training and practical experience working with dual diagnosed clients. Ms Piper joins us from her most recent job where she was lead counselor for 10 years in an Adult Residential Treatment setting.



Jessica Liberto is an LCDC-I at Into Action Recovery Center. After Jessica tackled her own life’s difficulties, she began an education centered around helping others. Today, Jessica has an Associates of Art in Psychology, as well as an Associates of Applied Science in Mental Health Substance Abuse Counseling. Jessica obtained both of her degrees at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, TX, where she lives with her two children. Jessica is well versed in twelve-step recovery and the disease concept of addiction; she focuses heavily on helping her clients to improve their self-esteem, self-efficacy, and coping skills through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Jessica helps her clients to see the consequences of substance use in their lives and helps them to find their own reasons to desire long-term sobriety from all mind-altering substances.



Phil joined Into Action Residential Facility in February, 2015 after completing a 2 year tour of duty at another facility which specialized in out-patient treatment. Phil had previously spent 4 years in the Marines, graduated with a BBA from Abilene Christian Phil graduated from Lee College as a LCDC-I and has been working as a Drug Counselor since 2014 . Phil brings a strong ability to relate to clients and utilize his experience to help guide men through the recovery process.

Katie has a LVN license from the state of California in 2014. In 2015, she received a Texas nursing license and is working towards her RN-BSN. Her father suffered from addiction for over 35 Years, addiction eventually took his life. She was not able to help save his life, but working at IARC gives her the opportunity to be a part of a great team that help save others suffering from addiction.



Our direct care staff all have personal experience with addiction and most importantly, recovery. Our “Recovery Advocates” work to provide constant support for our clients on their journey in recovery. They are in essence sobriety coaches whom provide motivation, direction and positive solutions for our clients. The RA’s and counselors work together to provide a seamless continuum of care for all guest of our facility and create an atmosphere of healing.
